Step inside our London Fashion Week Presentation and glimpse a sneak peek of next summer’s sublime styles…
For the fashion set, the end of summer signifies one thing: the arrival of London Fashion Week. This time around, Malone Souliers was delighted to present our SS24 collection at the Embassy of Italy as part of the official LFW calendar. Twice a year buyers, press, and influencers flock to the shows, but we thought it only fair that you – our loyal customers – got a sneak peek of some of our upcoming styles too. Wish lists at the ready…
Named ‘Ethereal Reverie’, next summer’s offering is an ode to romantic, Victorian-era dressing filtered through a thoroughly modern lens. Think feminine silhouettes, pop-pastel colours, and lavish decoration in the form of crystals, bows and corset-inspired lacing.
It felt fitting, then, that we presented the collection within a period property such as this townhouse set in the heart of Mayfair. Architecturally stunning, the Embassy of Italy is rich in history, thanks in part to its collection of fine art by both Italian and English painters. Echoing the classic-meets-contemporary mood of the collection, we displayed the season’s shoes and handbags on sleek, colourful plinths alongside an experiential floral activation and Italian-inspired refreshments.
From ladylike mules to statement stilettos and slingback sandals, the collection spans a variety of all-new silhouettes – as well as plenty of returning favourites. Throughout, a fresh palette of bright lilac and pea green is balanced by timeless neutrals. Fabric-wise, we’ve experimented with materials such as Sakura satin, crystal mesh, and pearl-embellished grosgrain, as well as a floriography-inspired patterned canvas. The line-up of bags, in a host of sugary hues, is just as tempting. Well-loved styles appear in new iterations, complete with glossy hardware and oodles of charm.
Malone Souliers’ Co-Creative Directors, Coco Fong and Valerio Bava, reflect on this year’s LFW presentation…
What does it mean for Malone Souliers to have been a part of London Fashion Week?
It’s been a great honour to be back at LFW after a long hiatus. This is where it all started for us so we couldn’t have been more excited to showcase the new collection here, at a historic venue, and for people to get to experience the shoes and bags in person.
Why did you choose the Embassy of Italy for the Malone Souliers presentation?
It seemed like the perfect fit as all our products – down to each individual component – are made in Italy. We’re very proud to showcase that and there’s nowhere better to do it than at the Embassy which also happens to be a beautiful, opulent yet intimate space that sets the perfect backdrop to the SS24 collection.
How would you describe the SS24 collection in three words?
Precious, Feminine, Nostalgic
What do you love most about Londoners’ style?
When it comes to style, Londoners embrace their individuality in an honest and unapologetic way which is incredibly inspiring and refreshing. It’s a fact that people from every corner of the world come to London just to see what the locals are wearing.
